It’s breast cancer awareness month and I know this month all too well. You see, I’m the granddaughter of Ora Lee Giddings who was diagnosed with breast cancer over 20 years ago. My memories of Mama Ora are mostly always good. From the love that she showered me with at such a young age, to her often unwavering support that I could do no wrong, to her strength as a mother, to her voice, her smell, and her hugs, she was by far one of the many strong and loving women that I knew.
